Ultimate Frisbee, often simply called "Ultimate," is a fast-paced, non-contact team sport that combines the endurance of soccer, the strategic play of basketball, and the passing skills of football—all with a flying disc. Played on a rectangular field with end zones, the objective is to advance the disc down the field by passing it between teammates and scoring points by catching it in the opposing team’s end zone.
One of the unique aspects of Ultimate is its commitment to the “Spirit of the Game,” which emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and fair play. Unlike many other sports, Ultimate is self-officiated, meaning players are responsible for calling their own fouls and settling disputes respectfully on the field.
Whether you're new to the sport or looking to develop your skills, Ultimate Frisbee offers an exciting way to stay active, build teamwork, and develop communication and leadership abilities—all while having fun in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Season Schedule
Opening Day - Saturday, March 15, 2025
Introduction to the game, skill workshops, and team assignments.
Regular Season - Saturdays
March 21 - May 3, 2025
Weekly combined team practices and games. No Sessions on April 5, 2025
Final Day (Saturday, May 3, 2025): End-of-season tournament and celebration.
Rain Make-Up Days: Scheduled for May 4 and May 10 if needed.
Divisions
U9 Boys & U9 Girls - 8:45am - 10:25am
For players aged 8 and 9 years old.
U11 Boys & U11 Girls - 9:45am - 11:25am
For players aged 10 and 11 years old.
U13 Boys & U13 Girls - 10:45am - 12:25pm
For players aged 12 and 13 years old.
U15 Boys & U15 Girls - 11:45am - 1:25pm
For players aged 14 and 15 years old.
What to Expect
Leagues by PlayCV's Ultimate Frisbee League is designed to provide a fun, structured, and engaging experience for youth of all skill levels. Our league focuses on skill development, teamwork, and the “Spirit of the Game” – promoting sportsmanship and fair play in every match.
Each session includes 40 minutes of skill-building practice followed by 40 minutes of small-sided games (4v4 or 5v5) to maximize participation and engagement.
Every registrant will receive a branded Discraft(TM) disc.
Important Note
Parent/Guardian Presence Required: This is not a drop-off event. A parent or guardian must remain on-site for the duration of each session to supervise their child and support their participation.
Cost: $180 per registration
**Leagues is a separate entity from PlayCV, and CVUSD District Waivers do not apply to Leagues registration fees.
